Stephen Oyekanmi is a Nigerian entrepreneur and the Co-Founder of Solarcorp, a climate-focused FinTech platform making clean energy affordable and accessible for underserved communities across Africa. Growing up in Nigeria, Stephen experienced firsthand the challenges of unreliable electricity and the financial burden of daily generator use, inspiring his mission to create scalable, sustainable solutions. With a background in technology, engineering, and business development, Stephen brings over a decade of experience building ventures at the intersection of clean energy and financial inclusion. Prior to founding Solarcorp, he led and scaled multiple projects focused on bridging affordability gaps in emerging markets. Through Solarcorp, Stephen has developed an innovative micro-savings platform that empowers individuals and SMEs to transition to solar energy without falling into debt. His work has earned recognition including selection as a Halcyon Climate fellow and awards for innovation in the solar sector. Stephen is passionate about using technology, community-driven models, and scalable finance solutions to drive climate action, economic empowerment, and long-term resilience across Africa.
